The Production Specialist is a full-time position with hours from 7 am to 3:30/4:30 pm M-F and 8 am to 12 pm on some Saturdays. Over-time hours may be required at times, but in general we make every effort to work around an employee's family schedule. The production specialist is responsible for racking parts, unracking parts, inspecting, and packaging for shipment. The team member in this critical role works in close coordination with quality and production to provide superior quality and rapid turnaround for customers. They are responsible for following procedures and/or work instructions for production. They are also responsible for following procedures concerning the safety and quality requirements as documented in the quality system.


  • Select racks/baskets according to size, shape, and number of objects to be processed.
  • Count parts prior to racking and count again upon completion of chemical treatment processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Place parts on racks with wire or clips according to customer requirements as indicated on work instructions.
  • Remove parts from racks.
  • Perform visual inspection to verify finish is in compliance with specifications.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Transport parts to next area.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Follow work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain safe working practices and insure area is clean and free of any possible unsafe situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • U.S. Person status required due to FFL certification.
  • Ability to use computer for basic functions in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented and ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
  • Basic problem solving skills required. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Skill in prioritizing and managing a fast-paced work environment.
  • Skill in organizing, identifying, and recognizing differences or similarities.
  • Adaptable to change and to considerable variety in the workplace.
  • Spatial awareness.
  • Ability to read blueprints a plus.


High school diploma or equivalent.


  • Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
